Spotlight on our Funders

ScottishPower Renewables are at the forefront of the renewables industry in Scotland and beyond. SPR's plans to reduce the national grids reliance on carbon includes the expansion of its onshore wind portfolio, such as the Hagshaw Hill Repowering project near us.

The existing Hagshaw Hill Wind Farm build in 1995 comprises of 26 wind turbines 55m in height with a total generating capacity of 15.6MW. It was Scotland's first ever commercial wind farm!

The Hagshaw Hill Repowering project will see the replacement and extension of the existing turbines with fancy-dancy new ones that are far more efficient. The construction project is live now!

As part of this process SPR will be making available significant funding for local projects, and it is this fund that the CLDR team will be administering on the communities behalf.
